Please comply with these simple rules and always remember that your safety and the safety of other road users and pedestrians are of paramount importance. 

1. Do not ride the courtesy bike through saltwater or sand
2. Obey traffic laws and regulations
3. Always wear suitable clothing and a helmet
4. Ride the bike at a speed to suit the terrain and weather conditions
5. Always try to anticipate and expect the unexpected
6. Both hands should be on the handlebars and both feet should be on the pedals
7. Always have total control of the bike
8. Ride with care and courtesy
9. Look after the bike; ensuring it is always locked securely when not in use
10. Do not jump or stunt the bikes
11. Never carry a passenger
12. Bike brakes are designed to stop the bike in a straight line. If you broadside and skid the bike you could damage the rear wheel, tyre and the frame
13. Never hang items from the handlebars
14. Never use headphones or mobile phones while riding the bike

By completing the form, you agree to the following:

Responsibility for damage or loss: The guest understands and agrees that on return of the equipment it is to be in the same clean and undamaged condition as when received, with the exception of reasonable wear and tear. The guest will be held financially liable to pay a minimum $100.00 repair cost of any minor damaged or broken equipment and up to $500.00 for the full replacement cost (and such costs will be added to the guest’s room account). Therefore regardless of the party at fault the guest is fully aware and agrees to be responsible for any lost or damaged equipment. 

The guest hereby warrants that it is he/she’s responsibility to protect the welfare of the bike and not leave it unattended for extended periods of time. The guest agrees to pay on demand all fines and court costs including administrative fees for violations of local bylaws and all other legal violations assessed against the bike and the guest during the hire period. Helmets and locks are issued with every bike hire, it is the law that everyone wears a helmet, by signing these terms and conditions, you and everyone in your group assume full responsibility for any accident, injury or death, which should occur as a result of not wearing your helmet. 

Assumption of risk, waiver and release agreement

Assumption of risk: I understand and accept that hiring this bicycle and participating in biking exposes me to many hazards and entails unavoidable risk of death, personal injury (including but not limited to severe spinal or head injury) and loss of or damage to property. I also understand I should be in good physical health to participate in bicycling. I choose to participate in bicycling in spite of these risks and hereby assume all risk of injury or loss of life to myself, and any loss of or damage to property arising out of hiring this bicycle and participating in bicycling. I understand the inherent risk involved in using this equipment; I accept full responsibility for any and all such damage or injury, which may result.

Waiver and release: In consideration of Crystalbrook Collection hiring me this bicycle, I specifically release and forever discharge Crystalbrook Riley and its related bodies corporate, and their employees, contractors and agents including from any and all liability or claims for injury, illness, death or loss of or damage to property which I may suffer while hiring this bicycle and participating in bicycling. This discharge specifically includes, but is not limited to, liability or claims for injury, illness, death or damage caused by the negligence of Crystalbrook Riley and its related bodies corporate, and their employees, contractors and agents. I release Crystalbrook Riley and hold it harmless from all liability for any such property loss or damage, personal injury or loss of life, whether caused by the negligence of Crystalbrook Riley or whether based upon breach of contract, breach of warranty, or any other legal theory. In signing this document, I fully recognize that if injury, illness, death or damage occurs to me while I am engaged in hiring this bicycle or participating in bicycling, I will have no right to make a claim or file a lawsuit against Crystalbrook Riley and its related bodies corporate, and their employees, contractors and agents, even if they or any of them negligently cause my injury, illness, death or damage. 

I have carefully read this agreement in its entirety and understand its content. I am aware this is an assumption of risk, waiver and release of liability and I sign it voluntarily. I agree to comply with all conditions outlined in this contract. I also understand that I should not and may not participate in this activity if I am under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
