The organics (such as the coffee grounds) are composted. The plastics undergo extrusion and pelletization to be moulded into new recycled plastic products.

Plastic Free Byron

Crystalbrook Byron works closely with the Plastic Free Byron team to help us reduce the six key single-use plastic items which represent the most problematic and prolific sources of the litter stream. These items are; water bottles, foodware (cutlery, cups, plates etc.), straws, coffee cups/lids, takeaway containers and plastic bags.

Crystalbrook Kingsley engaged with Green Eco Technologies to minimise the impact of organic waste on the environment. Green Eco Technology's WasteMaster has been installed at Crystalbrook Kingsley to allow the conversion and re-purposing of food waste as a reusable resource. This recycling technology diverts food and other organic waste from landfill, from being flushed into the sewer system or incinerated, reducing future damaging effects on our environment including greenhouse gas emissions.

Bottle Cycler

Glass in an amazing material that can be infinitely recycled, but often isn’t as it can be challenging for hospitality venues to manage the removal and disposal of it. Crystalbrook Kingsley has installed the Bottle Cycler to ensure we are managing our glass waste as effectively as possible. Every glass bottle that goes through a BottleCycler machine gets recycled back into a new glass container again. This incredible company is continuing to innovate in this space with the goal of leading the resource revolution for glass, where no glass is ever wasted.

Shane's Seafood

Sourcing local, fresh and sustainably caught seafood is a key priority for Roundhouse and Crystalbrook Kingsley. The fishermen who work with Shane’s Seafood line-catch and deliver fish each day, while the fishmongers inspect and ensure the quality of the produce.
