Join Wine Selectors and Roundhouse at Crystalbrook Kingsley during Newcastle Food Month, to celebrate all things local with a luxurious long lunch. Now in its third year, this sell-out experience is a highlight of the festival program. You’ll taste 13 superb wines perfectly paired with an exclusive three-course lunch, curated by Roundhouse Executive Chef Matthew Smith.
We’ll guide you through a blind tasting of wines from leading Hunter Valley wineries: Comyns & Co; First Creek; Mount Pleasant and Tyrrells, which will re-define your perception of the Hunter region and its wines. Taste some of the classic styles made in a truly progressive way and sip on new alternative styles that will no doubt impress.
Guests will vote on their favourite wines as the wineries battle it out for the People’s Choice award, as voted by YOU! Hosted by Paul Diamond, Wine Educator and Publisher of Selector, and guest speakers from each featured winery, this is a fabulous opportunity to gather your friends and wine and dine in style. This event is the first in the Wine Selectors x Roundhouse Wine Lunch Series, with two more incredible events to follow this year.

We’ll showcase some of states’ world-class wines, and bring the West to the East with our Wines of the West Long Lunch.

The Wine Selectors team tastes over 3,500 wines per year from over 500 wineries Australia-wide, and we’ve curated an exceptional line up of wines. Hosted by a Wine Selectors Wine Educator, we’ll showcase varietal expressions – from Australian sparkling, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Cabernet & Fortified – and take a serious deep dive into the wines that set the Australian standards. This is a must-attend event for all wine lovers.
