Two of the Hunter Valley’s most celebrated, two-hatted restaurants come to Newcastle for a one-day-only Sunday lunch takeover at Roundhouse, Crystalbrook Kingsley. Presented by Hunter Culinary Association.
As part of April’s Newcastle Food Month, the Hunter Culinary Association presents the EXP. & Muse Sunday Lunch Series - an elevated long-lunch experience showcasing exceptional food, iconic wines and sweeping city views.

Muse brings its refined, produce-driven dining from the Hunter Valley to Newcastle for a special long lunch. Led by chef and owner Troy Rhoades-Brown, this long lunch celebrates seasonal, hyper-local ingredients grown in Troy's own garden, alongside exceptional produce from some of New South Wales' best small farmers and makers.

Recently named Good Food Guide Regional Restaurant of the Year, the two-hatted Hunter Valley icon EXP. takes over Roundhouse for a one-day-only Sunday lunch experience. Owner and chef Frank Fawkner presents a four-course menu showcasing EXP.’s produce-focused, modern Australian style, paired with thoughtfully selected wines and enjoyed high above the city.
The menu is built around the best seasonal produce available, celebrating local growers, native ingredients and the quiet craft behind every dish. Expect bold, clean flavours, thoughtful technique and the refined details EXP. is known for, from house-made ferments and condiments to carefully considered finishing touches.
