FAQs
Who puts on Riverfire 2026?

Australian Retirement Trust returns as the naming rights sponsor of Riverfire this year and frankly, they know how to put on a show. Riverfire isn’t just a fireworks show. It’s Brisbane’s most electric night of the year, where the city turns it all the way up and the river becomes centre stage.

What time do the fireworks start?

Mark it in your cal: 7:00pm, Saturday 5 September 2026.

But if you’re only showing up for the fireworks, you’re doing it wrong. At Fiume Rooftop Bar, the night starts long before the sky lights up. Think live DJs, roaming entertainment, flowing cocktails, and front-row energy overlooking the river.

Will Riverfire go ahead if it rains?

Rain? Not a problem.

Riverfire will go ahead in wet weather. The fireworks are designed to cut through rain and moderate wind without missing a beat. Only extreme conditions would press pause.

At Fiume Rooftop Bar, a little drizzle just adds to the drama. Cocktail in hand, city lights reflecting off the river, and fireworks cutting through the sky, it’s a whole mood.

Will there be road or river closures?

Yes, there will be there will be several road and river closures to ensure the safety of all attendees. Key areas around the Story Bridge, Victoria Bridge, Kangaroo Point Bridge and South Bank will experience road closures. Sections of the Brisbane River will also be closed during certain times on 5 September. It's advisable to check the latest updates on road and river restrictions closer to the event to plan your journey accordingly. Or better yet, book your stay at Crystalbrook Vincent so you can check-in and stay-in at one of the best places to view Riverfire 2026.
