When the cold arrives early and the drive home starts to sound better than going out, come in from the weather and let Forest take care of dinner. 

This winter, Braise the Bar brings together one slow-cooked bowl with your choice of mulled wine, house beer or sparkling for $35. 

The bowl changes weekly, with each menu built around slow-cooked winter dishes and seasonal produce.

The details 

  • Available Monday and Tuesday 
  • Lunch: 12pm to 3pm 
  • Dinner: 5:30pm onwards 
  • $35 per person, including one slow-cooked bowl and your choice of mulled wine, house wine, beer or sparkling.

First on the menu: braised beef cheeks with red wine jus, creamy potato mash, glazed Dutch carrots and garlic pangrattato. A vegetarian bowl of braised miso eggplant with chives, sautéed fregola, cavolo nero and garlic pangrattato is also available. 

Start early with Golden Hour in the bar from 4 to 6pm for $8 wines and $14 cocktails, then settle into the restaurant for a bowl of something rich, slow-cooked and deeply warming.
