Eleme Spa Booking Terms and Conditions

Guests booking or attending a treatment at Eleme Day Spa are deemed to have accepted the following terms and conditions.

1. Health and Safety

Guests are required to provide accurate and complete health and personal information when booking a treatment. Any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or pregnancy that may affect the treatment must be disclosed prior to the appointment.

Treatments at Eleme Day Spa are intended to support relaxation and wellbeing and are not a substitute for medical care. Guests are responsible for informing spa therapist of any changes to their health before each appointment.

2. Voluntary Participation and Liability

All treatments are undertaken voluntarily. By attending the spa, guests accept full responsibility for any loss, harm, or injury that may occur in connection with their treatment or use of the spa facilities.

To the extent permitted by law, Eleme Day Spa and its parent company, Crystalbrook Collection, disclaim any liability for injury, loss or damage suffered by guests.

3. Respectful Conduct

Eleme Day Spa is a sanctuary for serenity and self-care. Guests are expected to treat staff and fellow spa-goers with courtesy and respect at all times.

Inappropriate, aggressive, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

Spa staff reserve the right to immediately terminate any treatment or service - without refund -if a guest's behaviour is considered unacceptable or causes discomfort to others.

4. Pregnancy

Eleme Day Spa prioritises the health and safety of all guests, including those who are pregnant.

Guests who are pregnant must inform the spa at the time of booking, and again upon arrival, to ensure treatments are suitable and can be safely adapted where necessary.

Treatments may only be performed on guests who are in the second or third trimester (13 weeks and beyond), and only where the treatment is deemed appropriate. Eleme Day Spa reserves the right to decline or modify treatments based on the guest’s stage of pregnancy, specific health considerations, or the nature of the service booked.

Certain treatments will not be performed on pregnant guests, including but not limited to:

  • Massage during the first trimester (0–12 weeks)
  • Hot stone or lava shell massage
  • Hydrotherapy or heat-based treatments such as the Infrared Sauna in Byron Bay.
  • Intensive facial procedures

Guests are encouraged to consult their healthcare provider prior to booking to confirm the suitability of spa services.

Eleme Day Spa and its employees accept no liability for any adverse outcomes that may arise where pregnancy has not been disclosed or where medical advice has not been sought prior to treatment.

5. Minimum Age

To ensure a safe and relaxing environment for all, children under the age of 16 are not permitted in the spa. Adolescents aged 16-17 are welcome to enjoy a selection of treatments, provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian, who must remain on the premises throughout the treatment. A signed consent form is also required.

6. Spa Etiquette

To maintain a peaceful atmosphere:

Guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled treatment time.

Mobile phones must be switched to silent mode.

Cameras and video recording devices are not permitted within treatment areas.

Showering before body treatments and hydrotherapy sessions is appreciated.

Late arrivals may result in reduced treatment time to avoid impacting other guests’ bookings.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Eleme Day Spa has a 24-hour cancellation policy.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as no-shows, will incur a fee equal to 100% of the full cost of the scheduled service. The same policy applies for bookings made with a gift voucher.

8. Payments, Pricing and Refunds

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless otherwise stated.

Full payment is required at the time of booking, including any public holiday or Sunday surcharges, as well as credit card surcharges.

Prices, services, availability and opening times are subject to change without notice.

Credit card surcharges apply depending on the chosen payment method. The surcharge will appear at the time of booking check-out.

Payments at spa location by EFTPOS do not incur transaction fees. To pay for a product by EFTPOS please swipe your card and ensure you do not tap your card for payment.

Eleme Day Spa is cash-free. All payments must be made via credit card, debit card or approved digital payment methods.

Products and services are non-refundable.

For refunds, please allow up to 10 business days to be processed.

9. Gift Cards

Gift cards and vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable, and not redeemable for cash. For full Spa Gift Card terms and conditions, click here.

Gift cards must be applied and redeemed at the time of booking online to secure the treatment.
