How to commemorate ANZAC Day

Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand. Each year on April 25th, we commemorate the Australian and New Zealand army corps who valiantly fought in Gallipoli during World War II.
If you’re staying with us on ANZAC day or are a local who wants to pay your respects, here is your guide on where to go for dawn services.
Cairns
The dawn service will begin at 5:30am at the Cenotaph on the Cairns Esplanade, directly in front of Crystalbrook Riley.
Brisbane
The dawn services starts at 4:28am sharp at Brisbane’s City's Shrine of Remembrance, Anzac Square, located between Ann and Adelaide Streets. It takes roughly 30 minutes to walk there from Crystalbrook Vincent.
Byron
The Byron Bay RSL will be holding a dawn service starting at 5:30. The RSL is located in the centre of town, a 7-minute drive from Crystalbrook Byron.
Newcastle
Newcastle’s Dawn Service is held at Camp Shortland in front of Nobby’s Beach. This is a 25-minute walk or 5-minute drive from Crystalbrook Kingsley.
Sydney
The main Dawn Service in Sydney is held at Martin Place at The Cenotaph, starting at 4:30am. This is a 15-minute walk from Sydney Harbour Hotel at the Rocks and a 30-minute walk from Crystalbrook Albion in Surry Hills.
Sydney also hosts an ANZAC Day March which begins at 9am at the intersection of Martin Place and Elizabeth Street, finishing at the end of Hyde Park at Liverpool Street at approximately 12.30pm.
